Application Requirements

Graduate Program in Sustainable Tourism Management accepts students in the Fall and Spring semesters. The language of education is English and there is 1 (one) English preparatory class quota. In addition to the general conditions of acceptance of Boğazici University's Graduate Programs:

  • ALES score (at least 65 in EA score type) or GMAT (at least 500) or GRE score (numerical 152) taken in the last five years and certificate of exam result.
  •  An English language proficiency test result document (TOEFL, IELTS or BUEPT*) with the minimum level accepted by Boğaziçi University
  • At least 2.5 / 4.0 (70/100) Overall Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • Letter of Intent (in English, not exceeding 1000 words)
  • Curriculum Vitae (prepared in English)
  • 2 reference letters

Candidates who fulfill the application conditions and submit all the documents in full are admitted to the science examination given by the Department. Candidates should follow the general announcements for the dates and places for these exams since individual notifications will not be made.

Candidates need to obtain at least 60 or more out of 100 points in the science examination (written or oral). Those that do not fulfill this requirement will be automatically rejected. In addition, candidates need to obtain at least 70 out of 100 points overall to be considered for the program.

Candidates that are above the minimum required of 70 points are ranked according to their ALES / GMAT / GRE (50%), GNO (5%) and science exam/interview results (45%).

Quota

For Fall Semester 10, Spring Semester 5.

*Those candidates that want to take the Boğaziçi University Proficiency Exam (BUEPT) should note that application to the program does not automatically register them to this exam. Candidates interested need to follow the separate deadlines and procedures to register and attend the BUEPT exam beforehand, so that they will have the required result by the end of the registration period.
